In this project we analyze the pillars of animal welfare known as the 5 Freedoms. Freedom from: hunger and thirst, discomfort, injury and disease, fear and distress and the freedom to express normal behavior. Then, we choose an animal in our local community to observe and understand the world through its eyes. We work with biologists, zookeepers, animal behavior specialists, veterinarians and pet care experts to create a sustainable project to improve the animal’s wellbeing.
